Yalitza Aparicio talks about being an actress and the dream come true

Share

The domestic workers became the protagonists of the premiere that the Mexican director Alfonso Cuarón offered in Hollywood of the film Roma, since the act he invited some of these employees.

The director said that part of the success of the film is due to Yalitza Aparicio, who in this film began his career as an actress.
The 26-year-old Oaxacan said that being in Hollywood and attending the premiere was “a dream come true”, something “very difficult to imagine”.

“In the world in which I grew up, you do not think about cinema as a context, you think about working and studying, but not about being an actress,” Aparicio told Efe, smiling as she was amazed by the cameras and microphones waiting for her interview
