Uber prepares his return to Cancun, and goes for more

The Uber transport platform obtained federal protection that will begin to take effect in January and allow them to operate in Cancun and other cities of Quintana Roo without the restrictions that the State Government intended to impose through the Mobility Law.
This was stated by David Velásquez Martínez, representative of Uber in Cancún, who indicated that they are collective shelters admitted a year ago and that will take effect.
“The ruling is based on other cities where Uber works without a concession and where good service is given,” he explained.
The court ruling finds that Uber provides service between individuals, so it is not subject to the requirement of concessions or other restrictions imposed on public transport, explained the representative.
“We hope that beginning the year, in January or February, we will be back in Cancun, and we hope it will be not only in Cancun but in Quintana Roo,” he said.
