Mohamed-al Gheiti, a television host who has been sentenced in Egypt to one year in prison for interviewing a gay man on his show and discussing sexual orientation. He is accused of promoting homosexuality and despising religion
The Giza misdemeanor court also imposed a fine of 3,000 Egyptian pounds ($ 150 dollars) and ordered that he be placed under surveillance for one year after serving his sentence.
The aforementioned entity banned the appearance of homosexuals everywhere after a rainbow flag, symbolizing the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community was raised during a concert held in Cairo in 2017
