The sargassum spot has been reduced a 94%

From July to December, the Sargassum spot in the Atlantic and the Caribbean Sea was reduced up to 94%, according to the satellite monitoring of the University of South Florida in association with NASA.

According to the last report, the macroalga still continues in unusual quantities, from January 2011 to December 2017 it had an average extension of 59 square kilometers.
