The last crime of 2018 in Cancun

The last crime of the year was reported on the afternoon of Monday, December 31, with the discovery of a lifeless body with traces of violence on the shore of Huayacán Avenue, on the outskirts of this city, near the junction with the Cancún- Merida road.

Municipal police officers confirmed the finding and preliminarily indicated that the body had a bullet in the head.
The month of December 2018 registered a total of 44 murders, which represented an increase compared to the 34 cases in November.

During the year, the most violent months were July with 59 cases and August with 66 homicides and the month with the least killings was February with 27 crimes.
