With more than 45 million views during its first week of exhibition on Netflix, the movie Bird Box has been a success.
The plot focuses on Malorie (Sandra Bullock) who, along with her children, flees from a mysterious presence that leads to suicide if you get to see it, but although at first she had thought of using terrifying creatures for some scenes, they decided to remove them.
Susanne Bier, director of the film and Bullock, were the ones who made the decision to omit the scene where a monster bursts in, although it was contemplated in the script because Sandra was not very happy with the result:
“It was a green guy with a horrible baby face,” said the actress and is that far from being terrifying, it was even funny: “I do not want to see it. Do not show it to me because I’m going to laugh, “Bullock asked the director.
This absence, where they leave the weight in the internal fears of the viewer, has been for many critics the main reason for the impressive taste for the film, which until now is known, has been the most successful film in the last 12 years of Netflix.
