Expo Comics leaves a million dollar profit this past weekend

Fans of the manga and science fiction spend between 500 and five thousand pesos on collectibles, so each edition of Expo Comics Cancun, which takes place twice a year, record profits of approximately one million 200 thousand pesos.
Catu Botello mentioned that the rise of this market is due to the fact that the image of the Otaku or “geek” changed, it went from being something strange to being extremely popular because of the introduction of K-POP and also because it extended towards the science fiction series.

He also said that events such as Expo Comics have served to boost the creativity of local youth, who, driven by the fantasy of the Japanese series, design their costumes and accessories to look like their favorite characters, known as Cosplay fans
