Cancun Is The Number One Destination For Americans This Valentines Day

Share

Cancun has been revealed as the number one international destination for Americans this Valentine’s Day. With its gorgeous beaches, scenic sunsets, and extravagant all-inclusive resort options, there’s little wonder as to why the destination has proved such a hit with couples looking to make the day one to remember, but these are just a few of the many reasons why lovers will be taking the trip across the border next month. Here’s a closer look at why so many Americans are planning to spend the most romantic night of the year in Cancun.

Cancun On Top – Information For Travelers
With many Americans still not getting their travel fix after several pandemic-related years spent lounging at home, searches for Valentine’s Day travel have increased by 45% compared to last year. Yet while the majority of Americans are planning to spend the holiday in the U.S., 29% are looking at going abroad to celebrate – and it’s the world’s hottest travel destination, Cancun, that most travelers are looking at visiting for a trip they won’t forget.

Allianz Partners USA recently published a report about travel plans for Valentine’s Day. The company studied more than 700,000 itineraries for return flights from the US, departing between the 2nd and 6th of February and returning between the 9th and 13th of February, and found that Cancun was the leading choice for a romantic vacation. Mexico as a whole featured strongly, with San Jose Del Cabo and Puerto Vallarta taking the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

A Place Perfect For Romance
Cancun is a destination that is almost purpose-built for romance. The city is home to stunning natural settings that add the perfect backdrop to any special occasion. Whether it’s enjoying a sunset on the beach from one another’s arms or a date spent hiking through the jungle or navigating through mangroves, the natural landscapes Cancun has to offer to make any experience together one that will linger long in the memory.

However special though it may be, Cancun has more than just nature to offer lovebirds on vacation. The city is home to a glittering array of top-quality all-inclusive resorts that will help make your Valentine’s Day – and Valentine’s Night – the best one yet. From stunning sea views and vistas to large, comfy beds, a wide choice of restaurants and bars, or room service, travelers will be made to feel special from the moment they check in to the moment they leave, thanks to the world-class hospitality staff and high-quality facilities.

What’s more is that Cancun has a large selection of top-drawer adult-only resorts to choose from, ensuring that travelers enjoying their romantic meals and cocktails by the beach won’t have their vibe ruined or their evening interrupted by out-of-turn screaming or splashing. Here you can find a look at five of the best adult-only resorts that are exclusive to the Mexican Caribbean region, while some of the more luxury adult-only offerings for travelers wanting something truly special are profiled here.

With dinner sorted, there are only drinks and dancing left for the perfect Valentine’s Day date night – and Cancun won’t disappoint in this regard. The city’s nightlife is well-vaunted, home to award-winning nightclubs and atmospheric bars that are perfect for dancing the night away with your special someone in, such as Coco Bongo or The City Club. With more than enough to keep you busy located in the hotel zone alone, travelers won’t have to go far in search of nighttime revelry – nor will they face a long trip back to their rooms at the end of it.

Finally, after a day on the beach, on a tour, or enjoying the city’s nightlife, what better way to end the trip than with a blissful spa experience? Getting a couple’s massage is the perfect way to both destress, detoxify and enjoy a romantic experience together before returning to the real world. Most of Cancun’s major resorts boast top spas on-site, making it easier than ever to enjoy a spa treatment together to cap off what is bound to have been a wonderful few days together.
