Cancun: Announce closure of streets for Christmas Parade

Due to the Christmas Parade and the lighting of the little tree in Cancun, this Monday, December 13, there will be a partial closure of streets Cancun.- Starting at four in the afternoon on Monday, December 13, the Benito Juárez Secretariat of Public Security and Municipal Transit announced that there will be a partial closure of the streets of Cancun because today the Christmas Parade and the lighting will take place. of the Christmas tree on the esplanade of the Municipal Palace. According to the Municipal Transit Directorate, the closing of streets will begin this day from 4:00 p.m. in the Bonampak and Chichén Itzá Avenues, but the contingent of the Christmas Parade will begin its journey from 6 in the afternoon.

The contingent will advance along the Chichén Itzá avenues towards the roundabout where the Monument to the History of Mexico is located to head towards the Municipal Palace, on Tulum Avenue, which will also have a partial closure.

In the Plaza de la Reforma (municipal esplanade of the Municipal Palace) where the authorities will light the Christmas tree located on the site around 7:00 PM. Later, the traditional work “The Nutcracker” will be presented by the ballet academy Talulah Centro Integral de la Danza. A life-size nativity scene, a villa and Santa’s sleigh will also be placed to take photos and act as entertainers for the children.
