Bicyclist killed when hit by Cancun bus

 A man riding a bicycle in SM 102 of Cancun was killed after being hit by a city bus.

According to witnesses, the cyclist was riding along the edge of the street parallel with the sidewalk when he was hit by a public bus. The accident happened around 5:40 p.m. Apparently, the bus driver failed to see him. He stopped several meters away from the accident.

Witnesses called Emergency 911. Police and paramedics arrived, but the man had already died.

The driver of the bus, 37-year-old Ramón Antonio V.B. originally from Veracruz, was arrested and transferred to the Ministry of Public Security.
