Two South American people were rescued near Isla Mujeres

The Navy- Mexican Navy Secretariat reported that its personnel provided support and rescued two foreigners in the waters of this island, who remained adrift.

Through a statement, the federal agency reported that they carried out the actions after receiving a phone call from the Isla Mujeres Harbor Authority, informing that a sailboat named “ENDURANCE” presented propulsion problems due to lack of fuel.

The vessel remained approximately six nautical miles north of Isla Mujeres. On board were a man of Argentine nationality and a Venezuelan woman.
