Police raid Cancun house, find drugs, weapons

The Attorney General of the State of Quintana Roo reports that ministerial police, along with the public prosecutor’s office, completed a search warrant for a Cancun property where a large amount of criminal evidence was discovered.

La Fiscalía General del Estado de Quintana Roo says a house in SM 51 of Cancun was searched. Experts from various specialties processed the premises and collected a significant amount of evidence related to the commission of extortion, homicides, arms and drug sales.

Located inside the home were dozens of plastic bags of cocaine, a revolver weapon, three bags of marijuana and several cell phones among other items.

A driver’s license in the name of Jonathan N was also found inside. They say Johnathan N has already been charged with attempted homicide. Police note it is possible he is related to at least two other crimes currently under police investigation in the municipality of Solidaridad.
