ALSEA will launch an app to compete against Uber Eats and Rappi

Alsea, one of the largest restaurant operators in Mexico, announced that it will launch a new application service delivery that will compete against Uber Eats and Rappi.

According to Renzo Castillo, Alsea Company director, plans to allocate $ 3.6 million to the development of an application that offers home service of the restaurants that collaborate with the franchise

The app would be available during the second quarter of 2019 and would have a menu of chains such as Starbucks, Burger King, Chili’s, Vips or P.F. Chang’s. Alsea indicates that they evaluating and creating a menu since not all restaurants have dishes that can be sent home.
