A family is rescued after being held in their own home during Christmas in Cancun

A whole family of nine members, who had been held in their own home by kidnappers, were released on Tuesday 25 in Cancun by elements of the Federal Police, after  on the street to ask for help, informed the corporation.

Although no further details have been disclosed about the time they were held captive, it was reported that the family was reunited for the Christmas holidays when the armed group entered their home, in one of the popular neighborhoods of the tourist destination.

A woman stepped out of the path of a group of Federal Police agents who conducted surveillance rounds and asked them for help as they had their children and family members kidnapped in their own home.
According to the statement, she had to return to his home with 20 thousand pesos in cash and two cell phones to be released.

Five people were arrested in a rapid operation, including a woman, who kept the nine members of the family deprived of their liberty, most of them minor between 16 years old and 1 and a half months.
